Junior Proposal Writer

We're a fast growing Federal Government contractor that specializes in custom software development, systems integration, and acquisition life-cycle support.We're looking for a junior proposal writer that has a mastery of the English language to grow and develop their capabilities with us and learn the "ins and outs" of the RFP process within the Federal Government. The ideal candidate must possess superior written and oral communications skills, as well as peerless strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills. The Junior Proposal Writer will be an integral part of the Business Development team, someone who will play a significant role in the long-term growth and success of our business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Thoroughly and fully reading and comprehending complex Government solicitation documents, including RFPs, RFIs and other notices
  • Supporting all aspects of proposal activity-be responsible for the full lifecycle development of proposal documents from initiation through delivery
  • Ensuring that proposals are in full compliance with the Federal Government RFP
  • Developing technical, management and cost proposals based on customer-segment opportunities, customer needs and competitive offerings
  • Writing various proposal sections, including executive summaries, past performance summaries, and resumes
  • Reviewing/rewriting proposal inputs and coordinating with technical and/or management personnel to ensure accuracy
  • Copy editing proposals and related documents for completeness and compliance with editorial standards and for proposal formatting/composition
  • Coordinate proposal reviews, ensuring compliance with solicitations requirements

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Peerless written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to recognize and correct grammatical and formatting errors
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet all project deadlines
  • Deep desire to learn the RFP process, within the Federal Government

Minimum Requirements:

  • This position will work out of our headquarters in South Jordan, UT
  • Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related-field
